Rejection = Try Again

The story I submitted, Chelsea's Grim, was rejected. But, I am not dishearten by this. The editor working on the anthology I submitted to, sent me a nice email stating that they liked my writing but, that the story didn't fit in with the theme of the anthology she is overseeing. She also said that they would like to see more of my work and for me to check out the publishing company's submission page to see what other anthologies they are taken submissions for. So, I did just that and submitted the same story to another anthology that they are working on. Haven't heard back from them, yet. It's been a week and the last time it was only 2 days. I don't know if this is a good sign. M U S T H A V E P A T I E N C E. So hard to though.

In my other endeavors, I have just listed three new items to my Etsy shop, KnitPurlHooked. Stop by and take a look. Everything in my shop is handmade by me in a smoke free home. I take great steps in ensuring that I'm doing top quality work with the best of materials at my disposal. All of my creations are made with love and an eye towards every detail.

Time for me to head back to the sweat shop. This stuff won't make itself :p

Fingers Crossed

After working on and off on this story, tweaking and editing, I've finally sent it out to submission land. Keep your fingers crossed for me. I would like to see it get a home.

Also, I've been working on some commission work. Matching hats and throws done in camouflage for two babies. Already have the hats down and I am working on the first of the blankets. Which is a third of the way done.

And I've been tweaking my store and adding new items from time to time. Stop by and take a look .

Pulled out my booked First Draft in 30 Days by Karen S. Wiesner. I'm going to give it a try and see if it can help me be more productive.
